TORSO is great. PIECES is better. And the Greats of Roth fest at the New Beverly is off to one hell of a start.
Randomness: I tried to shake John Gulager's hand and tell him how much I liked FEAST and I think I really scared him. Maybe because he had just seen me playing with Eli's chainsaw from HOSTEL:
I'm such a nerd.

Hello Mr Slater. I'm a London screenwriter who has had the pleasure of the New Beverley theatre - I saw a double bill of Grizzly and (possibly) Claws there, a year-or-so ago. Did they have a double-bill of Torso and Pieces, then? That would be tremendous. I'm going to add your link to my blog, just on general principles.
The lineup changes every few days, so...maybe? This was a brand new print of PIECES, though.
A brand new print? These are riches undreamed of, sir!
I love Torso so fcukin much -- and you didn't even get to see the slightly sleazier uncut print that just came out here in sunny Blight. I think you get it this summer on DeVeDe? It's sublime.
And Pieces? Hicks bless JP Simon. Slugs and this on our CV? Why work any more. You've hit gold.
Hot Fuzz t-shirt: yes, plz.
